(i) Prepare all the required application materials after carefully reading the visa application instruction. Postal applications need 10 working days (from the day of all the required documents receipt to the day of mailing out) for processing, there is no express service.
(ii) Melbourne office only accepts the application from TAS and VIC.
(iii) Applicants may download the visa application form and fill in it by hand or complete the form by using our online application form and print it out with the barcode created automatically by the system.
(iv) Please use Australia Post's Express Post service. The Centre's mailing address is: PO Box 7227 St Kilda Rd MEL 8004. Please take down the tracking number of your package so that you can obtain the status of your package from Australia Post Express Post Service. Please note: the Center doesn't accept the visa application delivered by any courier.
(v) The Centre takes no responsibility for providing and addressing return envelope for applicants. Accordingly, for the purpose of returning processed application, an applicant is required to provide a self-addressed and postage-paid Australia Post's Express Post envelope which will be sent to the Centre together with your application. Applicants are also advised to take down its tracking number in order to obtain the status of delivery from Australia Post Express Post Service. The Centre is not liable for any loss or damage caused to you in the event that the passport/documents are lost or damaged by postal service in transit.
(vi) Credit card (Visa card and Master card only) is the only method of payment accepted for mail application. Cash and cheque are not accepted. The total payment is the visa fee + postal application service fee. Please fill in the Credit Card Payment Authorisation Form and include it in your application.
