2. Terms and Conditions
The Chinese Visa Application Service Center (the Center) is responsible for accepting visa applications for visiting mainland China (i.e. not including Macau or Hong Kong etc.) from holders of ordinary passports who are Swedish citizens or citizens of other countries that possess Swedish permanent residence or work permits, and for collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden and returning passports. Applicants who are holders of diplomatic or service (official) passports or eligible for applying for diplomatic, courtesy and service visas, or those applying for a visa/entry permit to Hong Kong or Macau Special Administrative Region of China should apply directly at the Chinese Embassy.
If you submit your application online, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions, and agree that:
(a) The Center will provide visa application services (the Services) to you;
(b) The Terms and Conditions include but not limited to all information which has been published on the Center's website (www.visaforchina.org), policies, fee schedules, flyers, brochures and other official materials;
(c) You are obligated to make payments to the Center and to indemnify the Center in some cases.
The Chinese Embassy has the legal right of approval for issuing a visa
The Center is not involved in the visa assessment and decision-making process. Whether a visa is to be issued or not and what type of visa is to be issued as well as its period of validity, number of entries and maximum duration of stay is solely decided by the Embassy in the light of the relevant laws and regulations of China. You are required to pay a service fee to the Center regardless of whether your application is approved or not. The service fee is non-refundable.
The Chinese Embassy has the legal right to request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or to come to the Embassy or the Center for an interview. Failure to comply may lead to rejection of the visa application.
Information provided by you
To facilitate the assessment process for the Chinese Embassy regarding your application, you are kindly required to:
(a) Read the information regarding visa instruction carefully before applying.
(b) Make sure that all supporting documents you have are genuine and credible.
(c) Fill out the visa application form with true and accurate information (parent or guardian can sign for under-age child，and indicate the relationship).
Please carefully check all the printed information on your visa when you collect your passport. If you have any queries about the visa, please inform the counter staff immediately. The Center will not be responsible for any consequences arising from the following:
(a) Your visa becoming invalid and therefore unusable as a result of your own actions or omissions or any act or omission by a third party acting on your behalf.
(b) In the event that you are refused boarding on an aircraft or to enter China due to your failure to duly check all the information printed on your visa including the spelling of your name, birthday, nationality, your visa's number of entry, period of validity and duration of stay as well as the number and validity of your passport before departure for China.
(c) Your visa cannot otherwise be used due to reasons for which you are in control.
Please submit your application at an appropriate time so that your visa will not have expired or that it would not be too late for you to obtain a visa before your planned departure for China. Usually you can apply one month in advance from your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply three months earlier but please check this with the Center prior to application.
The Center collects certain personal information regarding all applicants in order to be able to correctly process the applications. Necessary Information will be submitted to the Chinese Embassy and might be transmitted to and kept in countries outside Sweden, i.e. the People’s Republic of China.
