Crew Visa (C-visa) is issued to a crew member performing his/her duties on board of an international train, airliner, ocean-liner or freighter.

I.Please provide the following documents: 

i.Original passport remaining to be valid for at least six months from the date of application and with at least two blank visa pages.

ii.One completed Visa Application Form (e-Form / Download) with a recently-taken passport photo stuck on it. The application form should be fully filled in with genuine information; if the applicant has a Chinese name, the Chinese name should be filled in; false or incomplete information and illegible characters may lead to refusal of a visa.

iii.You should provide an aviation permit or company letter according to the bilateral agreement or as required by the Chinese side. Crew members of foreign airways who perform international flight mission on an airline of China under an exchange program should provide visa notification issued by an authorized unit in China (original).

II.Method and Time for submission of applications

i.Method: An applicant may submit his or her visa application to the Centre in person or entrusts someone or a travel agency to submit on his or her behalf. You may book in advance via the Centre's website for submission. You may be required to go to the Chinese Embassy for an interview if the Chinese Embassy deems it necessary.

ii.Visa processing time: Regular visa processing time needs four working days. The Centre offers express service or rush service. For express service, visas will be ready for collection on the third working day. For rush service, visas will be ready for collection on the second working day.

iii.According to the notice of Chinese Embassy Danish citizen and 16 other European citizens could not   apply   for   Rush and Express services. For the detail information   please refer to  the important  notice on our website.

III.Visa fee, period of validity and duration of stay

i.Pay visa and service fees when collecting passport;

    Notes:

        1. The total amount of the fees to be paid by an applicant = visa fees + application service fees.
        2. Visa Fees are collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy; Application Service Fees are charged by the Centre.
        3. No express or rush service for visa application by mail.
        4. Cash, debit card or credit card can be accepted. (For postal applications debit card only)

iii.C-visa issued by the Chinese Embassy is valid for a period of three months with single entry or double entries. Duration of stay is decided by Consular Officers in the light of actual need.

iv.Consular Officers decide on the visa's period of validity, duration of stay and number of entry in the light of China's laws and regulations.

v.Whether a visa is to be issued or not, and what type of visa to be issued shall be decided by Consular Officers in the light of China’s relevant laws and regulations.

IV.Please note:

i.Please apply for a visa about one month in advance of your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply three months earlier than your intended date of entry into China. You should take upon yourself any consequences resulting from your failure to submit visa application at an appropriate time, which may lead to either your already-issued visa becoming expired or it would be too late to get a visa before your planned departure date.

ii.The visa application form should be fully filled in and signed by the applicant upon completion. Items which are not applicable should be filled in with N/A.

iii.Consular Officers may request an applicant to provide additional supporting documents when needed. The applicant should submit them as soon as possible.

iv.C-Visa is used only for the purpose of performing duties as a crew member. C-visa holders who come to China for the purposes other than performing such a duty or those who intend to continue to stay in China for personal reasons after completion of their duties have to apply for an appropriate visa.

v.A C-Visa holder must enter into or exit from China with the aircraft (train and ship) he or she works for, otherwise, he or she should apply for another type of visa.
